Gift to self. Looks beautiful, and I know it has been enhanced and treated because I asked them via Amazon (and they get credit from me for their honesty so this is the second necklace I've bought from them), but it looks so much like pure turquoise, and may be heartier for the treatment. I am having a romance with the culture of indigenous peoples of North America, which is also part in my blood. I do not have any spiritual reasons for getting the purer turquoise in which case a person might need to look elsewhere and pay a more expensive price, but this is still turquoise AND has the "952" stamped on the back for 95.2% silver which means actual sterling silver. The chain for this one: gorgeous, smooth, and sturdy! I did not want a specifically indigenous religious design, something more secular, but yet looking the indigenous North American historic part. The color brings out something in my eyes. I happen to know my color palette is dominant "Soft" and turquoise is a main color that compliments my hair, skin, eyes coloring. Additionally, with certain green tones that work with my coloring, this "teal" works well with me: it has the darker teal turquoise plus the lighter blue turquoise. My skin tone is "neutral," meaning I have both green-seeming and purple-blue seeming veins so I can wear both gold and silver, as is in this combination silver (setting) and gold (matrix in the turquoise) piece. Gentlemen buying for ladies: make sure you get her dominant coloring and skin coloring (veins) right to make a thoughtful and stunning-looking-on-her gift. The one I bought is the teal matrix horse. I LOVE wild horses and am so glad this necklace doesn't have anything in design to indicate a bridle or saddle, and that, to me, sends the message of being free, natural.
